Our Tennis Sessions

Our Tennis Sessions

During the first four weeks, we will be participating in tennis sessions. Our instructor was coach Chris Brown. Not many of us played tennis before. He shared some rules with us. The most important rule was to check around you before you play. We learnt how to hold the racquet, do the forehand and back hand. We were then split into three teams. The weather was not great so we played indoors.

It was a really sunny day so the second session took place outdoors. We played with real tennis balls instead of a sponge ball. It was an awesome experience playing with tennis racquets. We teamed up and played singles and doubles. Mrs Rassool also joined us. We learnt how to do the forehand, back hand and volley passes. Can't wait until next week.

We also learnt how to create QR codes. What is a QR code? A QR Code is a two-dimensional barcode consisting of a black and white pixel pattern which allows to encode up to a few hundred characters. Today's smartphones and tablets are able to recognize and decode them exceptionally fast - it's not surprising that QR stands for Quick Response.
